About Hintonville
Hintonville got its name in the late 1800s. It was named after Arthur "Manny" Hinton. He was a local pastor in the community.
A Look Back in Time
Hintonville is located along an old railroad line. This line used to be called the Gulf, Mobile and Ohio Railroad. In the past, Hintonville even had its own train station.
There was also a school in Hintonville for the children living there. However, this school is no longer open. The community also had a post office for a short time. It operated under the name Hintonville from 1902 to 1914.
