Hiroki Kobayashi (小林 弘記, Kobayashi Hiroki, born May 24, 1977) is a former Japanese football player. He played as a goalkeeper.

Hiroki Kobayashi's Football Journey

Hiroki Kobayashi was born in Shizuoka, Japan, on May 24, 1977. After finishing high school, he started his professional football career.

Early Career and First Clubs

In 1996, Hiroki joined Júbilo Iwata, a top club in the J1 League. However, he didn't get to play in any matches during his time there. In April 2000, he moved to Verdy Kawasaki, another J1 League team. Still, he didn't play much.

A few months later, in June 2000, he joined Consadole Sapporo. Here, he finally played in three matches during the 2000 season. In 2002, he moved to FC Tokyo, but again, he didn't get much playing time.

Finding His Place: Shonan Bellmare

In 2003, Hiroki joined Shonan Bellmare. This is where his career really started to take off. He competed for the goalkeeper spot and played often. By 2005, he became the main goalkeeper for the team. However, his playing time slowly decreased in 2006.

Becoming a Regular: Roasso Kumamoto

In 2007, Hiroki moved to Rosso Kumamoto. This club was in the Japan Football League at the time. Here, he became the team's regular goalkeeper. He played in every single match during the 2007 season!

Because of their great performance, the club was promoted to the J2 League in 2008. After this, Hiroki's chances to play became less frequent. He decided to retire from professional football at the end of the 2009 season.
