Hiroki Mizuhara (born January 15, 1975) is a former Japanese football player. He was a talented goalkeeper who played for several teams in Japan's professional leagues. He is known for his long career, helping teams get promoted to higher divisions.

Hiroki Mizuhara's Football Journey

Hiroki Mizuhara was born in Heguri, Nara, Japan, on January 15, 1975. After finishing high school, he began his professional football career in 1993.

Starting with Nagoya Grampus Eight

Mizuhara joined Nagoya Grampus Eight in 1993. This team played in the J1 League, which is Japan's top football division. He made his first appearance for the team in 1995. However, he didn't play many matches during his time there. Another goalkeeper was often chosen to play instead.

Moving to Honda FC and Yokohama FC

In 1999, Mizuhara moved to Honda, a club in the Japan Football League (JFL). Here, he got to play in many more games.

In 2000, he joined Yokohama FC, another JFL club. He became their main goalkeeper. The team won the JFL championship in 2000. This win helped them get promoted to the J2 League starting in 2001. Mizuhara played regularly for Yokohama FC until 2003.

Time with Tokyo Verdy

In 2004, Mizuhara moved to J1 League club Tokyo Verdy. In 2005, he played a J1 League match against Kashiwa Reysol. This was his first J1 League game in ten years! However, he didn't play much during his three seasons with Tokyo Verdy.

Later Career and Retirement

In 2007, Mizuhara joined Regional Leagues club New Wave Kitakyushu. This club later changed its name to Giravanz Kitakyushu. He became their regular goalkeeper. The team was promoted to the JFL in 2008 and then to the J2 League in 2010.

In 2011, he lost his starting position to another goalkeeper. In 2012, Mizuhara moved to JFL club Kamatamare Sanuki. He announced his retirement from professional football in February 2013. However, he decided to play one more season. In May 2013, he joined Prefectural Leagues club Veertien Kuwana. He played for them for one season before truly ending his career.
