Hiroki Mizumoto (水本 裕貴, Mizumoto Hiroki, born 12 September 1985) is a talented former Japanese football player. He was known for playing as a centre back, a key position in defense.

Hiroki's Football Journey
Hiroki Mizumoto was born in Ise, Japan. After finishing high school, he started his professional football career. He joined a team called JEF United Ichihara in 2004. This team later changed its name to JEF United Chiba.
Playing for Different Teams
Hiroki played his first game in the top Japanese league, the J1 League, on May 20, 2004. He scored his very first professional goal on July 22, 2006. In 2008, he moved to Gamba Osaka, another big team. Later that year, he joined Kyoto Sanga FC.
Hiroki spent a long time playing for Sanfrecce Hiroshima, from 2011 to 2020. During this period, he was a very important player for the team. Towards the end of his career, he also played on loan for Matsumoto Yamaga and Machida Zelvia. He finished his playing career with SC Sagamihara in 2022.
Representing His Country
Hiroki Mizumoto also played for Japan's national football teams. In June 2005, he was part of the Japan U-20 national team for the 2005 FIFA World Youth Championship. He played in all four matches during this important tournament.
In August 2008, he was chosen for the Japan U-23 national team. He played as the captain in all their matches at the 2008 Summer Olympics. This shows he was a strong leader on the field.
Hiroki made his debut for the main senior national team on October 4, 2006. This was in a friendly game against Ghana.
