Hiroto Kōmoto (甲本 ヒロト, Kōmoto Hiroto, born 17 March 1963) is a famous Japanese rock singer. He is known for being the lead singer of several popular bands, including The Blue Hearts, The High-Lows, and The Cro-Magnons.

Early Life
Growing Up
Hiroto Kōmoto was born in 1963 in Okayama, Japan. He went to junior high school and then to Sōzan High School. After high school, he started studying at Hosei University, but he decided to leave before finishing his degree.
Music Career
Starting The Blue Hearts
In 1985, Hiroto Kōmoto teamed up with Masatoshi Mashima to create a band called The Blue Hearts. They released their first song, Hito ni Yasashiku, in 1987. Later that year, they released another very popular song called Linda Linda. The Blue Hearts became a very famous band in Japan.
New Beginnings with The High-Lows
After many years of making music, The Blue Hearts took a break in 1994. In 1995, Kōmoto and Mashima decided to form a new band together. They called their new band The High-Lows. Their first song, Missile Man, and their first album came out on October 25, 1995. A few years later, Kōmoto and Mashima even built their own music studio called Atomic Boogie Studio. The High-Lows continued to make music until 2005.
Solo Work and The Cro-Magnons
After The High-Lows, Kōmoto worked on some solo music in 2006. He released two songs on July 5, called Manatsu no Sutoreeto and Tengoku Umare. For these songs, he played all the instruments himself, including guitar, bass, and drums! Later that year, he joined Mashima again. They performed at a rock festival on July 23, 2006. This performance marked the official start of their newest band, The Cro-Magnons. Their first song, Tallyho, was released on September 20, 2006. The Cro-Magnons are still making music today.
