The Hohentwiel is a special mountain in southern Germany. It is an extinct volcano, which means it was once active but now it is not. This mountain is found in the Hegau region of Baden-Württemberg.
The Hohentwiel is located west of the city of Singen. It is also about 30 kilometers (19 miles) away from Lake Constance. Even though it is quite tall, reaching 686 meters (2,251 feet) high, it can sometimes seem hidden in the landscape.
