The Holy Trinity Episcopal Church is a very old and important church building. It is located at 446 Hamilton Street in Southbridge, Massachusetts. This church was first built in 1869. It was originally for a group of people who worked for the Hamilton Woolen Company. Since 1921, it has been home to an Episcopal church group. The building is famous for its beautiful Romanesque and Gothic Revival styles. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1989. This means it is a special historical site.

About the Church Building
The church stands on the north side of Hamilton Street. It is across the Quinebaug River from the old Hamilton Woolen Company mill. The building is made of brick and has a steep roof. This roof faces the front of the church.
Unique Architectural Features
A tall tower rises from the church's southwest corner. It has an open bell area with rounded arch openings. A pointed roof with a flared edge tops the tower. Most of the church's design is Romanesque. This style uses round-arch windows and decorative walls. It also has special designs under the roof edges.
However, the church also shows Victorian Gothic style. This can be seen in its front entrance porch. The roof is also made of different colored slate tiles. This adds a unique touch to the building.
History of the Church
The Hamilton Woolen Company built this church in 1869. It was meant for its senior workers and owners. The church group was not officially linked to one religion. But in practice, they followed the Congregationalist faith. Some people jokingly called it the "Church of the Holy Supervisors."
Changes Over Time
By 1921, fewer people were attending this church. So, the company sold the building. The Holy Trinity Episcopalian group bought it. They had been saving money for a new building since 1909.
The church faced some tough times. Fires badly damaged it in 1930 and again in 1940. But after each fire, the church was rebuilt. The parish hall, which is next to the main building, was added later in 1958.
