About the TV Show
The Home Farm Twins television series was on air for three seasons. It started on January 7, 1999, and finished on March 30, 2002. The show tells the exciting stories of twins named Hannah and Helen. They live in the countryside and have many adventures. The series was created by Elly Brewer, based on Jenny Oldfield's books.
The Moore Family Moves to the Country
The first season of the show begins with the Moore family moving. They leave their home in London and go to a country village called Doveton. This is a big change for everyone!
Hannah and Helen are very different. Hannah is a bit of a dreamer. She is also more "girly" and loves to imagine things. Her sister, Helen, is more like a tomboy. Helen is brave, speaks her mind, and can be quite funny and sarcastic.
New Friends and Adventures
The twins quickly meet the people in their new village. They become good friends with a boy named Sam. Sam lives on a farm called Crackpot Farm. He likes to tease the twins a bit, calling them "townies" because they came from the city. But he always joins in their fun adventures.
In Season 3, Sam shares some big news with the twins. He tells them he is going to leave Doveton. This is a sad moment for their friendship.
Family Life at Home Farm
The twins' mother, Mary, is a great baker. She is famous for making delicious cakes at the Curlew Cafe. This cafe is a business she started after they moved to Doveton. Their father, David, is a wildlife photographer. He loves to study animals and take pictures of them.
During Season 3, the twins' parents have a new baby girl. Hannah and Helen learn that looking after a baby is a lot like looking after animals. It takes a lot of care! They often help watch their baby sister. Sometimes, they get into trouble because of little accidents that happen while they are babysitting.
The final season of Home Farm Twins shows the girls growing up. They start to think about what life will be like in the future. They also look back at all the fun times they had living on Home Farm.
