History of Honey Creek
Honey Creek was started in the 1860s. This happened when the Chicago and North Western Railway built its tracks to this spot. The community got its name from a nearby stream, also called Honey Creek.
Early Days and Post Office
A post office opened in Honey Creek in 1868. This allowed people to send and receive mail. The post office served the community for many years. It finally closed down in 1990.
