Honor Louisa Carter, whose maiden name was Dillon, is a former field hockey player and businesswoman from New Zealand. She was born on July 14, 1982, in Blenheim.
She played for the New Zealand women's national field hockey team, often called the Black Sticks Women. Her time with the team started in 2004. She represented New Zealand in big events like the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, Australia. She also played in the Champions Trophy Tournaments in 2004 (Rosario, Argentina) and 2006 (Amstelveen, Netherlands).
Honor was chosen for the Black Sticks Women in November 2004. This was after she played very well for Canterbury in the National Hockey League. Her first game for the Black Sticks was on November 6, 2004. It was against Argentina in Rosario, during the 2004 Champions Trophy Tournament. This tournament features the top six field hockey teams in the world.

Honor Dillon was born in Blenheim, New Zealand. Her parents are James and Maling Dillon. She spent most of her childhood living in Wellington. She has two older sisters named Amber and Michal. Honor went to Chilton Saint James School. Later, she earned two degrees from the University of Canterbury. She studied for a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. In 2020, she also studied for a Bachelor of Nutrition and Naturopathy in Auckland.
Family and Business Ventures
Honor became engaged to her long-time boyfriend, Dan Carter, on October 9, 2010. Dan Carter is a famous player for the New Zealand national rugby union team. The couple lived in Auckland, where Honor worked as a Marketing Manager for DB Breweries. They got married on December 9, 2011, at Timara Lodge in Marlborough. Honor and Dan have four sons.
Since 2020, both Honor and Dan Carter have been spokespeople for Chemist Warehouse. They also own shares in Farradays. This is a luxury department store and bar located in Parnell.
