The Story of Hot Streets
The show follows FBI agent Mark Branski (voiced by J.D. Ryznar) and his partner Donald French (voiced by Scott Chernoff). They work together to solve mysteries involving strange and supernatural events. Joining their team are Branski's niece, Jen (voiced by Chelsea Kane), and her talking dog, Chubbie Webbers (voiced by Justin Roiland).
Their missions often involve dealing with unusual creatures and strange forces. Sometimes, their actions can be a bit unexpected, even when facing what seems like a harmless situation. The team always tries to complete their missions, no matter how weird things get!
Meet the Characters
Here are the main characters you'll meet in Hot Streets:
Mark Branski
Mark Branski is a very experienced FBI agent. He's been working for 21 years and is known as the best at his job. Branski can be a bit quirky and doesn't always pay attention to what others are feeling. However, he knows a lot about many different things and often gets involved in very unusual activities. He was the one who named Chubbie Webbers when Jen adopted him.
Donald French
Donald French is Branski's younger partner. He's often the one who gets picked on by the others. French is more cautious and sometimes a bit gloomy compared to Branski. He always tries his best to prove himself. While he can sometimes be smarter than Branski, he often struggles with tasks. He really wants his own office, but there are no empty rooms available.
Jen Sanders
Jen Sanders is Branski's niece. She lost her parents before the show began, and Branski is her only living family member. She loves her dog, Chubbie Webbers, and tells him everything. Jen is usually the most sensible person on the team. Even though her uncle often pushes her aside, she still cares about him a lot.
Chubbie Webbers
Chubbie Webbers is Jen's pet bloodhound. He can talk, but his voice sounds a bit like a dog's bark, similar to Scooby-Doo. In the second season, his speech becomes much clearer. He also has a very large family, much like the famous dog Snoopy!
Soo Park
Soo Park was Branski and French's boss in the first season. She takes her job very seriously and doesn't have much patience for Branski's silly behavior. After she was fired in the second season, she started to suspect her replacement. She then began investigating him herself.
John Wayne JetWayne Junior (Jet Jr.)
Jet Jr. is Branski and French's boss in the second season. He is a tiny living jet plane! He can shoot energy beams from his eyes that turn things into crystals. Jet Jr. is much more understanding of Branski than Soo Park was. He's also very eccentric. He encourages his agents to do their missions perfectly. It's revealed that even though he looks old, he's only 12 years old for his species. This explains some of his strange decisions and personality!
How Hot Streets Was Made
The creator of Hot Streets is Brian Wysol. Before this show, he made short videos for a group called Channel 101. He said Hot Streets was a mix of two of his favorite ideas: one was a scary cartoon about supernatural things, and the other was a police show. He wanted to combine these ideas to create a new FBI show about supernatural investigations.
Brian Wysol also worked on other Adult Swim shows, like Rick and Morty and Robot Chicken. In March 2017, Adult Swim announced that they would make Hot Streets into a full TV series. The show is produced by Stoopid Buddy Stoodios and Williams Street. Each episode of Hot Streets is about eleven minutes long.
