Hotel Carolina facts for kids
Hotel Carolina was a fun music festival that happened every year. It started in a sunny spot called Isle of Palms, South Carolina. Over time, it grew to include events in Philadelphia and St. Pete Beach, Florida. This festival brought together many talented singer-songwriters from all over the country. It gave music fans a chance to see lots of their favorite artists on one stage. These events lasted for several days.
Famous singer-songwriter Tony Lucca once said Hotel Carolina was like "playing in the coolest sandbox ever." He loved being able to hang out with his friends, other musicians, and fans. It was a very close and friendly event. Ernie Halter, another performer, called it "summer camp for big kids." He enjoyed making music with friends at the beach. Tony Lucca also described it as a "who's who" of independent singer-songwriters. It was also a place for many loyal music lovers.
As of January 2014, the Hotel Carolina Festival took a break. It is currently on hiatus.
