Journey of the Huahum River

From Lake to Lake

The Huahum River starts its journey in Lácar Lake, which is located in Argentina. It then travels across the border into Chile. Finally, the river empties its waters into Pirihueico Lake in Chile. This makes the Huahum River an important link between these two countries and their lakes.

The Huahum Pass

The river also gives its name to a famous mountain crossing called Huahum Pass. This pass is an international border crossing point. It connects Chile and Argentina, allowing people to travel between the two nations.
