In 2000, about 269 people lived there. Hubbard is also part of the larger Texarkana metropolitan area, which means it's connected to the bigger city of Texarkana.
The Story of Hubbard
Hubbard probably got its name from an early settler named Richard B. Hubbard. People have lived here for a long time! The oldest graves in the Hubbard Chapel Cemetery date back to 1835.
In 1936, Hubbard had a church, a cemetery, and a few scattered houses. The number of people living in Hubbard stayed around 269 from 1990 to 2000.
Where is Hubbard?
Hubbard is located in the western part of Bowie County. You can find it right on U.S. Highway 259.
It's about 34 miles (55 kilometers) west of Texarkana. Hubbard is also just 3 miles (5 kilometers) southwest of a town called DeKalb.
