About Huemul Island

Huemul Island is known as a great place for tourists to visit. It's important for its history and its natural environment. For many years, the government of Río Negro Province was in charge of the island. Recently, after a process where different groups could offer their plans, the island was given to the local government of Bariloche to manage. This means the city of Bariloche is now responsible for taking care of the island and making sure people can enjoy it.
