About Hunter Tylo's Early Life
Hunter Tylo grew up in Springtown, Texas. She has an older sister named Elizabeth and a younger brother named Cliff. Before she became well-known as Hunter Tylo, she was sometimes called Deborah Morehart. This was her first husband's last name.
Hunter Tylo's Acting Career
Hunter Tylo started her acting career in 1984. She appeared in a movie called The Initiation. After this, she became famous for her roles in daytime TV shows called soap operas. Her first TV appearance was in 1985 on All My Children. She left that show in 1988.
In 1989, Tylo joined the cast of Days of Our Lives. She played a character named Marina Toscano. This character caused some trouble for other characters on the show. Tylo left the series in 1990.
After leaving Days of Our Lives, Tylo thought about quitting acting. She started studying at Fordham University in New York. She wanted to become a doctor. However, she was offered a role on The Bold and the Beautiful. This was the part of Dr. Taylor Hayes. She decided to take the role and started in 1990. She continued to study at Fordham for some time while acting.

Lawsuit Against a TV Producer
In 1996, Hunter Tylo was chosen for a new TV show called Melrose Place. She decided to leave The Bold and the Beautiful for this new role. However, the producer, Aaron Spelling, fired her before she even started filming. This happened because she announced she was pregnant. Another actress took her role.
Tylo quickly went back to The Bold and the Beautiful. She then sued Aaron Spelling. She said that firing her because she was pregnant was unfair. A jury in Los Angeles agreed with her and she won a large amount of money. During the trial, Tylo showed pictures of herself while pregnant. These pictures showed she was still in good shape. This case was important because it helped show that actresses have the right to keep working even when they are pregnant.
