What's The Story About?
The show is about a funny woman named Fran Fine. She used to work at a bridal shop. One day, her boyfriend breaks up with her and fires her from her job!
Fran then tries to sell cosmetics door-to-door. She knocks on a fancy door in New York City. The butler, Niles, thinks she is there for a job interview. It turns out, the man of the house, Maxwell Sheffield, needs a nanny for his three children.
Maxwell isn't sure about Fran at first. She has a very unique and loud personality! But he gives her a try.
Fran quickly becomes friends with the two girls, Maggie and Gracie. Brighton, the middle child, is harder to win over. But soon, Fran becomes a very important part of the Sheffield family. She also becomes great friends with Niles the butler.
Over time, Fran and Maxwell start to like each other more than just friends. After many funny moments and ups and downs, they finally get married! Near the end of the show, Fran gives birth to twins, a boy and a girl.
The Sheffield family, including Fran, Maxwell, Grace, and the new twins, move to California. Maggie and Brighton go on a trip to Europe. The very last scene shows Fran looking at her old cosmetics case and the house, remembering all the good times before leaving for good.
