Hush (comics) facts for kids

Hush (whose real name is Dr. Thomas Elliot) is a tricky villain from the world of Batman. He is known for stealing identities and was once a childhood friend of Bruce Wayne. Thomas Elliot planned a car crash involving his parents, but his mother survived thanks to an operation by Thomas Wayne, Bruce Wayne's father. This made Thomas Elliot very angry.

Who is Hush?

Hush, also known as Dr. Thomas Elliot, is a very clever and dangerous enemy of Batman. He grew up in Gotham City and was a childhood friend of Bruce Wayne. Both came from rich families, but Thomas was always jealous of Bruce.

Hush's Early Life

Thomas Elliot was a brilliant child, but he had a dark side. He wanted to inherit his family's money quickly. So, he planned a car accident hoping both his parents would die. However, his mother survived the crash. She was saved by an emergency operation performed by Dr. Thomas Wayne, Bruce's father. This made Thomas Elliot furious, as his plan didn't fully work.

Becoming a Villain

As Thomas Elliot grew up, he became a skilled surgeon. But his anger and jealousy towards Bruce Wayne never went away. He started to use his intelligence for evil. He became a master planner and a master of disguise, often pretending to be other people to achieve his goals. He chose the name "Hush" for his villain identity.

Hush's Abilities

Hush is not just smart; he's also very capable in other ways:

• He is a brilliant surgeon, which gives him knowledge of the human body.
• He is a skilled fighter and knows how to use weapons, especially guns.
• He is a master strategist, meaning he can plan very complex schemes.
• He is also an expert at impersonation, making it hard for others to know who he really is.

Hush and Batman

Hush's main goal is often to hurt Bruce Wayne, not just Batman. Because he knows Bruce's secrets and weaknesses from their childhood, he can be a very personal and dangerous threat. He often uses other villains and complex plots to try and destroy Batman's life.
