Hyundai Veracruz facts for kids
The Hyundai Veracruz was a type of car called a CUV. It was a mid-size vehicle made by the Korean company Hyundai. A crossover mixes features from both regular cars and SUVs.
The Veracruz was first shown in South Korea on October 12, 2006. It started being sold in March 2007. At the time, it was Hyundai's biggest crossover car. It took the place of another Hyundai SUV called the Hyundai Terracan. The Veracruz was built using the same basic design, or "platform," as the Hyundai Santa Fe. Later, the 2011 Veracruz also shared its platform with the Kia Sorento.
The Veracruz was designed to be a family-friendly car. It had third row seating, which means it could carry more passengers, like a small van. It also came with all-wheel drive, which helps the car have better grip on different roads, especially in bad weather. Hyundai stopped making the Veracruz around the world in 2013. After that, a longer version of the Hyundai Santa Fe became its replacement.
