Héctor Hermilo Bonilla Rebentun (born March 14, 1939 – died November 25, 2022) was a very talented Mexican actor and director. He was famous for his work in many movies and TV shows. Some of his most well-known films include Meridiano 100 and Rojo Amanecer. He passed away at the age of 83.

Héctor Bonilla's Acting Career

Héctor Bonilla had a long and successful career in acting. He appeared in many films and television series, showing his skill in different types of roles. He was known for bringing characters to life on screen.

Movies and Awards

Héctor Bonilla starred in several important films. In 1974, he acted in Meridiano 100. For this role, he won the Ariel Award for Best Actor. This is one of the most important awards in Mexican cinema.

He was also nominated for the Ariel Award for Best Actor for his work in Matinée (1977) and Bloody Marlene (1978).

Another major film for him was Rojo Amanecer in 1989. This movie was very important, and he won another Ariel Award for Best Actor for his performance. He also lent his voice to the Latin American Spanish dub of the animated movie Ratatouille, playing the character Django.

Television Roles

Héctor Bonilla was also a familiar face on television. He appeared in many telenovelas, which are popular TV dramas. Some of his early TV shows include La casa de las fieras (1967) and La Gata (1970).

He played various characters throughout his career. He was in shows like Viviana (1978) and Rosa salvaje (1987). In 1979, he even appeared as himself in an episode of the classic comedy show El Chavo del Ocho.

Later in his career, he continued to act in popular series such as Señora (1998) and El tío Alberto (2000). His last known TV role was in El Señor de los Cielos in 2018.
