Ian Bennet Miller (born September 28, 1991) is an American professional basketball player. He currently plays for Khasin Khuleguud in The League in Mongolia. Before becoming a professional, he played college basketball for Florida State University. He has also played for many teams in countries like Italy, Kazakhstan, Turkey, France, Israel, and Greece.

Early Life and College Basketball

Ian Miller grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina. He went to United Faith Christian Academy for high school. During his senior year, he was a star player. He scored about 22 points, grabbed 6 rebounds, and made 6 assists per game. He helped his team win the 1-A State Championship that year.

After high school, Miller played college basketball for the Florida State Seminoles. In his final year, he averaged almost 14 points and 2.5 rebounds per game. Even though he wasn't a regular starter, he was one of the best "sixth men" (players who come off the bench) in the league. He was great at assists, steals, and free throw shooting. Because of his excellent play, he was named the ACC Sixth Man of the Year. He also received an All-ACC Honorable Mention from the coaches.

Professional Basketball Career

Starting in Italy (2014–2016)

After college, Ian Miller was not chosen in the 2014 NBA draft. However, he joined the Detroit Pistons for the 2015 NBA Summer League. There, he averaged nearly 10 points and 3 assists per game.

In August 2014, Miller began his professional career in Italy. He signed a one-year deal with Aurora Jesi in the Serie A2 league. In his very first professional game in October 2014, he scored an amazing 43 points. He made 10 out of 15 three-point shots in that game.

In January 2015, Miller left Jesi to join PMS Torino. He helped Torino win the 2015 Serie A2 Championship. This win meant his team moved up to the top Italian league, Serie A. He signed another contract with Torino in July 2015. In March 2016, he moved to Tenezis Verona for the rest of that season.

Playing in Kazakhstan (2016–2017)

In August 2016, Miller signed with Astana, a team from Kazakhstan. In October 2016, he had a fantastic game, scoring 32 points. He also had 5 assists, 3 rebounds, and 2 steals in a win against Avtodor Saratov.

During the 2016–17 season, he averaged almost 15 points, 3 rebounds, and 4 assists per game. Miller helped Astana win both the 2017 Kazakhstan League Championship and the 2017 Kazakhstan Cup. His team also reached the quarterfinals of the 2016–17 VTB United League.

Time in Turkey and France (2017–2018)

In June 2017, Miller signed with the Turkish team Uşak Sportif. In October 2017, he scored 22 points in a game, making 9 out of 14 shots. In March 2018, he left Uşak to join the French team BCM Gravelines for the rest of the season.

Playing in Israel (2018–2019)

In July 2018, Miller signed with Hapoel Gilboa Galil in Israel for the 2018–19 season. In October 2018, he had a season-high game where he scored 31 points. He made 6 out of 9 three-point shots and also had 4 rebounds and 2 assists. He was named the Israeli League Round 4 MVP for his great performance. Overall, he averaged over 15 points per game and shot 41 percent from three-point range for Gilboa Galil.

Return to France and Greece (2019–2021)

In July 2019, Miller went back to France and signed with Chorale Roanne. A year later, in July 2020, he moved to Greece to play for Promitheas Patras in the Greek Basket League.

In February 2021, he signed with Cholet Basket in France. Later that year, in July 2021, he joined Peristeri in Greece. He left Peristeri in December 2021, averaging over 10 points per game.

Recent Teams (2021–Present)

In December 2021, Miller signed with Büyükçekmece Basketbol in Turkey. In August 2022, he joined BC Enisey in the VTB United League. In September 2024, he signed with Juventus Utena in Lithuania.

For the 2024–25 season, Ian Miller joined Khasin Khuleguud (also known as Xac Broncos Ulaanbatar) in Mongolia. He helped the Broncos finish third in the 2025 Basketball Champions League Asia. Miller was also chosen for the All-Star Five of that tournament, showing he was one of the best players.
