Ibón de Bachimaña Alto and Ibón de Bachimaña Bajo are two beautiful lakes located high up in the mountains of northeastern Spain. They are found in a place called the Tena Valley, which is part of the Province of Huesca. These lakes are very close to the border with France.

How Ibón de Bachimaña Bajo Became a Reservoir
Today, Ibón de Bachimaña Bajo is separated from Ibón de Bachimaña Alto by a special wall called a dam. This dam was built to turn the lake into a reservoir. A reservoir is like a large, artificial lake where water is stored.
