Ibiza is a special label for wines made on the island of Ibiza in Spain. This label is called Vino de la Tierra, which means "Wine from the Land". It shows that the wine comes from a specific place.
The Vino de la Tierra label is one step below a higher quality label in Spain called Denominación de Origen. Think of it like a quality ranking for wines.
The area that can use the Ibiza Vino de la Tierra label includes the entire island of Ibiza. Today, there are about 35 hectares of vineyards on the island. A hectare is a way to measure land, and 35 hectares is like 35 football fields! These vineyards are spread across many parts of the island. There are also 5 wineries, called bodegas in Spanish, that make wine under this special label.
Ibiza wines received their Vino de la Tierra status in 1996. This means they have been officially recognized for their quality and origin since then.
