Ibrahima Bakayoko (born on December 31, 1976) is a former professional football player from Ivory Coast. He played as a forward, which means he was mainly responsible for scoring goals.

Ibrahima Bakayoko's Club Journey
Ibrahima Bakayoko started his professional career in France with a team called Montpellier. He was a very promising player there. In October 1998, the manager of Everton in England, Walter Smith, was very impressed by him. Everton paid about £4.5 million to bring Bakayoko to their team.
However, his time at Everton was quite short. He played in 23 games and scored four goals in the league. One exciting moment was when he scored two goals against Blackburn Rovers, helping Everton win 2–1. In June 1999, he moved back to France to play for Marseille.
After playing for Marseille, Bakayoko went to Spain to join Osasuna. Then, he returned to France for a third time, playing for Istres. His football journey continued across Europe when he moved to Italy. He played for Livorno and then Messina. He played his first Serie A (Italy's top league) match for Messina in January 2007.
In the summer of 2007, Bakayoko moved to Greece to play for AEL. He scored a fantastic goal from 30 yards away in a UEFA Cup match against England's Premier League team, Blackburn. In June 2008, he joined another Greek team, PAOK, for one year.
After his contract with PAOK ended, Bakayoko signed a two-year deal with PAS Giannina in July 2009. This team had just been promoted to a higher league.
Playing for His Country: Ivory Coast
Ibrahima Bakayoko also played for his home country, Ivory Coast. The national team is often called The Elephants. He first played for them in 1995 and continued to represent his country until 2002.
