What is Icefall About?
The story of Icefall takes place long ago in Norway. The king must go to war, so he sends his three children to a secret, faraway fortress. This is to keep them safe from danger.
The children are Asa, the oldest daughter, and Harold, the youngest son who will one day be king. There is also Solveig, the middle child. She starts to learn the art of storytelling from the king's skald. A skald was a poet and storyteller in old Norse times.
During a very cold winter, the people at the fortress face many challenges. They start to run out of food. Even worse, there is a mystery: someone dangerous is causing trouble from inside the fortress. The children must figure out who the hidden enemy is before it's too late!
