About Ignacio Rodes
Ignacio Rodes began learning the guitar when he was just 8 years old. His first teacher was his own mother! Later, he studied at the Conservatory of Alicante. There, he learned from a great guitarist named José Tomás from 1983 to 1986.
He even received a special scholarship to continue his music studies in London. Today, Ignacio Rodes is a Professor at the Conservatory of Alicante. He also directs the Guitar Master of Guitar Performance program at the University of Alicante.
His Music Career
Ignacio Rodes first performed at the Wigmore Hall in London in 1986. Since then, he has played at many international music festivals. He has performed in most European countries, the USA, and South America.
He has played in many famous concert halls around the world. These include the Alte Oper in Frankfurt and the Alice Tully Hall in New York. He has also performed at the Palau de la Música in Barcelona and the Auditorio Nacional in Madrid. Rodes has also been featured on many TV and radio stations in Europe and America.
