Ignacio Solozábal, often called Nacho Solozábal, was a famous Spanish professional basketball player. He was born in Barcelona, Spain, on January 6, 1959. Nacho was 1.85 meters (about 6 feet 1 inch) tall and played as a point guard. He is known as one of Spain's best basketball players ever.

On October 8, 2006, his jersey number 7 was officially retired by FC Barcelona. This means no other player on that team will wear number 7 again. He was also considered one of the top 105 players in EuroLeague history.

Nacho's Amazing Club Career

Nacho Solozábal spent his entire professional career playing for one team: FC Barcelona. He played for them from 1975 until 1992. During his time with FC Barcelona, he helped the team win many important championships.

Nacho won several big European and Spanish titles with his team.

  • He won the Saporta Cup twice, in 1985 and 1986.
  • He also won the Korać Cup in 1987.
