Iiro Rantala (born in 1970) is a famous Finnish jazz pianist. He is known for his amazing piano skills and for composing music. Iiro has played both jazz and classical music. He is one of the most well-known jazz pianists from Finland, both in his home country and around the world.

About Iiro Rantala
Iiro Rantala was born in Helsinki, Finland. He started learning piano at a young age. He studied jazz piano at the Sibelius Academy in Finland. He also learned classical piano at the Manhattan School of Music in New York City. This shows he is talented in many types of music!
His Musical Journey
Iiro Rantala was the pianist and composer for a popular Finnish jazz trio called Trio Töykeät. This group was very successful and helped him become well-known. Besides jazz, Iiro has also written classical music pieces. One of his most famous classical works is the Concerto for Piano and Concerto in G♯ΔA♭.
In 2008, Iiro started a new group called the Iiro Rantala New Trio. They released an album called Elmo. The other members of this trio are Marzi Nyman on guitar and Felix Zenger who does beatbox.
In 2017, Iiro Rantala was nominated for the Nordic Council Music Prize. This is a big award for musicians in Nordic countries.
