Ilaria Occhini (born March 28, 1934 – died July 20, 2019) was a talented Italian actress. She performed in plays, on TV shows, and in over 30 movies. She was known for her strong acting skills and won several awards during her long career.

Ilaria Occhini was born in Florence, Italy. Her family had many writers, including her mother and father. She started her film career when she was 19 years old. Her first movie was a comedy called Terza Liceo (High School). For this film, she used the stage name Isabella Redi.
Becoming an Actress
After her first movie, Ilaria went to a special acting school. It was called the Accademia d'Arte Drammatica in Rome. She finished her studies there in 1957. That same year, she returned to acting. She appeared in a movie called Il medico e lo stregone.
She also started acting on stage in plays. Her first play was La ragazza delle smirne. At the same time, she got her first main role in a TV series. This popular show was called Jane Eyre. In 1959, she also appeared in another TV show, The Vicar of Wakefield.

Ilaria's mother was Gioconda Papini. Her grandfather was the famous writer Giovanni Papini. Ilaria's father was Barna Occhini, who was also a writer and journalist.

Ilaria Occhini found her biggest success in theater. She worked many times with a famous director named Luchino Visconti. She also joined a theater group called the Piccolo Teatro in Naples. There, she was praised for her acting in both old and new plays.
