Illogic's Music Journey
Illogic began his career by competing in freestyle rap battles. He won the Columbus championship in 1997. He released his first four albums with a record label called Weightless Recordings. These albums helped him become a leader in the independent rap scene.
Later, Illogic worked with the Dove Ink label. He ran this label with his friend Eyamme. In 2009, he returned to Weightless Recordings. He released the album Diabolical Fun with Ill Poetic.
Working with Blockhead
In 2012, Illogic released an EP called Preparing for Capture. An EP is a shorter music album. This EP was fully produced by Blockhead. It was a preview for their full album, Capture the Sun.
Illogic said they worked hard to create their own sound as a duo. They didn't want to copy what they had done with other artists. After Preparing for Capture was successful, they released a second EP. It was called Preparing for Capture 2.
