Music Career
2005–2012: Starting Out with Mixtapes
When Logic was 13, he met his mentor, Solomon Taylor. He became interested in hip hop after watching the movie Kill Bill: Volume 1. The movie's music was produced by RZA of the Wu-Tang Clan. This inspired Logic to start listening to hip hop. He bought The Roots' album Do You Want More?!!!??!, and Taylor gave him many instrumental beats to write lyrics over.
In 2009, he performed under the name "Psychological." He released an unofficial mixtape and opened for famous artists like Pitbull and Ludacris. He later shortened his name to Logic.
In 2010, Logic released his first official mixtape, Young, Broke & Infamous. This helped him gain a following and get signed to the Visionary Music Group label.
