Ilya Vladimirovich Tsymbalar (born June 17, 1969 – died December 28, 2013) was a talented football player and coach. He was from Ukraine and later played for Russia. Ilya was a midfielder, a player who helps both defense and attack. He was especially good at taking free kicks and had great skills with the ball. He played for both the Ukrainian and Russian national teams.

Ilya Tsymbalar started his football career in his hometown of Odesa, Ukraine. He played for youth teams at Chornomorets Odesa. Later, he joined the main team.

Playing for Chornomorets Odesa

Ilya played for Chornomorets Odesa from 1989 to 1993. During this time, he showed off his amazing skills. He helped his team win the Ukrainian Cup in 1992. This was a big achievement for the club.

Success with Spartak Moscow

In 1993, Ilya moved to Russia to play for Spartak Moscow. This was a very successful time for him. He became a key player for Spartak. He helped them win the Russian Premier League title six times in a row! He also won the Russian Cup twice.
