Early Life and Education
Imogen Poots was born in June 1989 in Hammersmith, London. Her father, Trevor Poots, was a TV producer, and her mother, Fiona Goodall, was a journalist. Imogen also has an older brother.
She grew up in Chiswick, West London. Imogen went to private schools like Bute House Preparatory School for Girls and Latymer Upper School. When she was younger, she wanted to become a veterinary surgeon (an animal doctor). However, she changed her mind after fainting during work experience when she saw a real animal surgery.
Instead, she started spending Saturdays at an acting workshop. After finishing school with excellent grades, she was accepted into the Courtauld Institute of Art in 2008. But she decided to put her studies on hold for two years to focus on her acting career.
