India Eisley is an American actress born on October 29, 1993. She is well-known for her roles in TV shows like The Secret Life of the American Teenager, where she played Ashley Juergens. She also starred as Audrina in the movie My Sweet Audrina and Fauna Hodel in the series I Am the Night. India has also appeared in several films, including Underworld: Awakening and Look Away.

Early Life and Family

India Joy Eisley was born in Los Angeles on October 29, 1993. Her mother is English actress Olivia Hussey. Her father is American musician David Glen Eisley.

India comes from a family of performers. Her grandfather, Anthony Eisley, was an American actor. Her other grandfather, Andreas Osuna, was an opera singer from Argentina. She also has two older half-brothers.

India Eisley's Acting Career

India Eisley started her acting journey early. In 2005, she appeared in the movie Headspace alongside her mother.

Early Roles and TV Success

After taking on small parts in a few independent films, India got a big role in 2008. She joined the cast of The Secret Life of the American Teenager. In this popular TV series, she played Ashley Juergens. Ashley was the younger sister of Amy Juergens, a main character who was a teen mother.

Becoming a Movie Star

In 2012, India Eisley got a role in the action-horror film Underworld: Awakening. She played Eve, a special character who was the daughter of Selene and Michael Corvin. India was chosen for this role because she looked a lot like Kate Beckinsale, the actress who played Selene.

In 2014, India starred as Sawa in the action movie Kite. She acted alongside famous actor Samuel L. Jackson. ..... This movie was a modern version of the classic story Romeo and Juliet. In it, India played Julia, and her real-life mother, Olivia Hussey, played Julia's mother, Mrs. Coulson.

Recent Film and TV Projects

In 2015, India Eisley played the main character, Briar Rose, in the horror-thriller film The Curse of Sleeping Beauty. That same year, she was cast in the main role for the TV movie My Sweet Audrina, which was based on a book. This movie aired on the Lifetime channel in 2016. In 2017, she appeared in the Netflix movie Clinical. In 2018, India took on the lead role of Maria / Airam in the psychological thriller Look Away.

In 2019, India Eisley starred as Fauna Hodel in the TV series I Am the Night. This six-part series was based on Fauna Hodel's own true story. The show first aired on January 27, 2019, on the TNT network. More recently, in 2020, she played Tillie Gardner in the film Dead Reckoning. In 2021, she was Lucy in the movie Every Breath You Take.
