Inga Varg (born in 1952 in Bergslagen, Sweden) is a famous Swedish architect. She designs buildings and helps plan cities. She has won important awards for her work, like the Kasper Salin Award and the Swedish Concrete Federation's architecture award.

Inga Varg studied architecture at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. Since 1992, she has been a co-owner and leader of the company Rosenbergs Arkitekter. She works on many different types of projects, including city planning, designing buildings, and even creating interior spaces.

About Inga Varg

Inga Varg started her career in 1978 after finishing her studies. She first worked at Lars Brydes Arkitektkontor. During this time, she designed homes for different projects, like the Täppan area in Stockholm. In 1983, she joined Rosenberg & Stål Arkitektkontor. Later, in 1992, she became a co-owner and leader of this firm, which is now known as Rosenbergs Arkitekter.

Throughout her career, Inga Varg has also taught at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology. She often gives talks about planning homes and drawing designs. She has also been a judge for many architecture competitions, including the well-known Kasper Salin Award.

Awards and Recognition

Inga Varg has received several awards for her amazing architectural designs:

  • 2010: She won the Swedish Concrete Federation’s architecture award for her work on the Flat Iron Building in Stockholm.
  • 2010: The Stockholm Flat Iron Building also placed third in Stockholm City Council’s "Building of the Year" award.
  • 2003: She was nominated for the Kasper Salin Award for the Zanderska huset. This is a training building at the Karolinska institutet in Flemingsberg.
  • 2000: She was nominated for the Swedish Concrete Federation’s architecture award for the Ericsson R&D building in Mjärdevi Science Park, Linköping.
  • 1994: She won the prestigious Kasper Salin Award for the main office building of Tekniska Verken in Linköping. She shared this award with Gustaf Rosenberg.
