Inger Miller (born June 12, 1972) is a retired American track and field athlete. She was a fast sprinter who competed in races like the 100 metres and 200 m. Inger comes from a family of athletes; her father, Lennox Miller, was an Olympic sprinter from Jamaica.

Early Life and Career

Inger Miller grew up in Pasadena, California. She went to John Muir High School. Later, she studied at the University of Southern California. In 1990, she was chosen as a Tournament of Roses Princess. This is a special honor in her hometown. During her time as a professional athlete, she was part of the HSI track team.

Major Achievements

Inger Miller had a very successful career in track and field. She won many important medals.

Olympic Success

  • In 1996, at the Atlanta Olympics, Inger won a gold medal. She was part of the United States team for the 4 × 100 meter relay race.

World Championships

  • In 1997, she won another gold medal at the World Championships in Athens. This was also for the 4 × 100 meter relay.
  • The year 1999 was very successful for Inger. At the World Championships in Seville, she won a gold medal in the 200 meter race. She also earned a silver medal in the 100 meter race.
  • In 2003, Inger won a silver medal at the World Championships in Paris. This was for the 4 × 100 meter relay.

Life After Running

After her career as a sprinter, Inger Miller started a new path. She teamed up with Jill Hawkins to create Miller-Hawkins Productions. This company helps plan and organize events. Their office is located in Altadena. As of 2019, Inger Miller was working as a flight attendant.
