Inger Nordal (born 11 August 1944) is a Norwegian professor who studies plants. She is a well-known expert in the field of Botany, which is the scientific study of plants.
About Inger Nordal
Inger Nordal started her career at the University of Oslo in 1974, working as an associate professor. She continued her studies and earned a special degree called a doctorate (or PhD) from Uppsala University in 1977. This degree showed she was an expert in her field.
Becoming a Professor
In 1987, Inger Nordal became a full professor. This is a very high rank for a university teacher and researcher. Her hard work and knowledge were recognized. In 1990, she was invited to join the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters. This is a group of very smart people who are chosen for their important contributions to science and learning.
Public Service
Besides her work with plants, Inger Nordal also helped her community. She was chosen to be a member of the Bærum municipal council from 1979 to 1983.
