Inky Johnson (born February 12, 1986) is an American motivational speaker. He used to play college football. Sadly, his football career ended in 2006. This happened because of an injury that made his right arm permanently paralyzed. After his injury, Inky studied psychology. He then became a popular motivational speaker. He has shared his inspiring story at many events. One big event was the Greater Knoxville Sports Hall of Fame ceremony.

Early Life and Football Dreams
Inky Johnson grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. He lived in the Kirkwood neighborhood. His home was often busy with 14 people living there. Inky's mother is Ruby Kay Lewis. His stepfather is Ricky Lewis Sr.
From a young age, Inky loved football. He played for Alonzo A. Crim Comprehensive High School. He was a talented player. His dream was to play professional football.
College Career and Life-Changing Injury
Inky Johnson played college football for the University of Tennessee. He was a Cornerback for the team. He played in the 2005 and 2006 seasons.
On September 9, 2006, Inky suffered a serious injury. This happened during a game against Air Force. He tackled an opposing player. The tackle caused a severe injury to his right arm. This injury permanently paralyzed his arm. It meant he could no longer play football.
Life After Football
Even though his football dream ended, Inky did not give up. He focused on his education. In 2007, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. This was in political science from the University of Tennessee. He continued his studies. In 2009, he received a Master's degree. This degree was in sport psychology.
Inky then became a motivational speaker. He travels around the country. He shares his story of overcoming challenges. He inspires people to keep going. He teaches about faith, hard work, and never giving up.
