History of Ino
The name "Ino" has a fun story behind it! According to local stories, the first person in charge of the post office wanted to find a name for the area. They gathered a group of people to help decide. Everyone was talking at once, and one person kept saying, "I know!"
The group thought this sounded like a good idea for a name. So, they suggested calling the post office "I know," but they decided to spell it as Ino. The post office officially opened in 1894. It served the community for several years before it closed down in 1907.
