Club de Fútbol Inter Playa del Carmen is a cool Mexican football team. They play in the Liga Premier, which is a professional league. The club is based in Playa del Carmen, a beautiful city in Quintana Roo, Mexico. Fans often call them El Inter or El equipo de Quintana Roo, meaning "The team from Quintana Roo."

Club History
How the Team Started
Inter Playa del Carmen was created in 1999. Local business people and the city government worked together to make it happen. The team first played in the Third Division. They stayed there from 1999 until 2003.
Moving Up in the Leagues
In 2003, Inter Playa del Carmen became champions of the Torneo Clausura. This big win allowed them to move up to the Second Division. Since then, the team has continued to play in this professional league.
Big Games and Victories
On December 18, 2021, Inter Playa reached a huge milestone. They made it to the grand final of the Liga Premier Apertura 2021 tournament for the first time ever! Even though they lost to Alacranes de Durango, it was an amazing achievement.
Then, on March 13, 2023, they won another important title. Inter Playa defeated Club Calor to win the Copa Conecta Championship. This exciting game was played away from home in Monclova. Their dedicated fan club, known as "Marea Azul" (Blue Tide), traveled all the way from Playa del Carmen to cheer them on. They brought their drums and celebrated a well-deserved victory!
Current Coaches
The club currently has two professional teams. The main team plays in the Liga Premier. Their coach is Carlos Bracamontes. Under his leadership, Inter Playa had a great record in the 2021-2022 football year. They won 77% of their games!
The second team plays in the Third Division. Their coach is Alejandro Jácome. With him, the team managed to get past the first round of the final phase. This was the first time they did that since 2003, the year the main team was promoted.
Local Rivalry
Inter Playa del Carmen has a fun rivalry with Pioneros de Cancún. These two teams are from cities that are close to each other. Both cities are also big tourist spots. Because of this, their games are known as the Quintanarroense Classic. It's always an exciting match when these two teams play!
