Mohawk Creation Story Art
From 2009 to 2011, three students created beautiful art at the institute. Tammy King, Natasha Thompson, and Inez Cook Patterson were studying Fine Arts. They painted seven large murals in the school's entrance. These murals show the Mohawk Creation story. This story is about a main character called Sky Woman.
In 2011, Sandra Taylor Hedges, an art teacher, added to this artwork. She made a sculpture of Sky Woman. This sculpture was placed in the skylight above the murals.
