Ire was born in Lagos, Nigeria, and grew up in Ogun State. Her parents are Tayo and Olunfunlola Aderinokun.
After finishing high school in Nigeria, Ire went to the University of Bristol in the United Kingdom. She earned a degree in Experimental Psychology. While studying for her master's degree in law at the same university, she discovered a strong interest in computers. This led her to take a design course at Codecademy, which teaches coding online.
How Ire Learned to Code
Ire taught herself how to become a front-end developer and a user interface designer. A user interface designer makes sure websites and apps are easy and fun to use. She built her very first website when she was just 13 years old! It was a fan site for a game called Neopets, and that's where she learned her first basic HTML codes.
