Isabel Durant (born December 21, 1991), also known as Issi Durant, is an Australian actress and dancer. She is famous for her roles in popular TV shows. She played Grace Whitney in Dance Academy from 2012 to 2013. Later, she starred as Ondina, a mermaid, in Mako: Island of Secrets from 2015 to 2016. She also joined the cast of Days of Our Lives as Claire Brady from 2020 to 2021.

Life and Career

Isabel Durant grew up in Sydney, Australia. She started dancing seriously when she was 15 years old. At that time, she was a student at Loreto Kirribilli school.

Becoming a Dancer

Isabel showed her dancing skills on So You Think You Can Dance Australia. She was a Top 20 finalist in the third season of the show. This was a big step in her dance career.

Starting Her Acting Journey

After So You Think You Can Dance Australia, Isabel tried out for the teen drama series Dance Academy. She got the part of Grace Whitney, a character who sometimes caused trouble. She played Grace in the second and third seasons of the show. In 2013, she also appeared in three episodes of the TV series Camp, which was shown on NBC.

Playing a Mermaid and More

In 2014, Isabel joined the cast of Mako: Island of Secrets. She played Ondina, a mermaid, starting from the second season. She continued this role through the third season. In August 2020, it was announced that Isabel would join the American TV show Days of Our Lives. She took over the role of Claire Brady. By September 10, 2020, she became a main cast member on the show.
