Isabelle Jarry was born in Paris, France, on October 2, 1959. She is a French writer who creates both novels and essays. An essay is a short piece of writing that shares the author's opinion or information about a topic.

Isabelle Jarry is also part of the Board of Directors for the Maison des écrivains et de la littérature, which is like a special house for writers and literature in France. She has also received an important award called the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres, which honors people who have done great things in arts and literature.
