Isaiah Jerome Green (born August 10, 1989) is an American former professional gridiron football player. He played as a cornerback, which is a defensive position in football. After playing college football for Fresno State, he joined the Buffalo Bills in 2012.

High School Highlights

Isaiah Green went to Long Beach Polytechnic High School. He was a talented athlete, not just in football! In 2005, he took part in the World Youth Championships in Africa. He helped his team win a gold medal in the 4x100-meter relay race. He was also part of a national record-setting 4x200 relay team.

College Football Journey

Isaiah started his college football career at Fresno State in 2007. He spent his first year as a "redshirt," which means he practiced with the team but didn't play in games.

He played in 46 games during his college career. He started 16 of those games. By the end of his time at Fresno State, he had made 94 tackles. He also forced one fumble and made one interception. His first start was in the 2009 New Mexico Bowl.

Professional Football Career

After college, Isaiah Green was not chosen in the 2012 NFL draft. However, he was signed by the Buffalo Bills as a free agent. This means a team can sign a player who wasn't drafted.

He later joined the practice squad for the Indianapolis Colts in October 2012. A practice squad is a group of players who train with the team but are not on the main roster. After leaving the Colts, he signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers practice squad in December. He stayed with the Steelers until August 2014.

Later in 2014, Isaiah moved to the Canadian Football League (CFL). He signed with the Toronto Argonauts. In one game with the Argonauts, he made one defensive tackle and two tackles on special teams. He left the Argonauts in June 2015.
