Isidoor Teirlinck (born January 2, 1851, in Zegelsem, Belgium – died June 27, 1934, in Forest, Brussels) was a Belgian writer. He is most famous for his work on folklore. Folklore means studying the traditional stories, customs, and beliefs of a community.

Isidoor Teirlinck went to school in Lier. He later became a teacher. He taught subjects like mathematics and physics in Brussels starting in 1875. He was married to Oda van Nieuwenhove. Their son, Herman Teirlinck, also became a well-known writer. Isidoor Teirlinck wrote many books. He often worked with his brother-in-law, Reimond Stijns. They published books together under the name Teirlinck-Stijns. Their most famous novel was Arm Vlaanderen (meaning "Poor Flanders"), which came out in 1884.
