Iván Bolado Palacios (born 3 July 1989) is a footballer who used to play professionally as a striker. He was born in Spain. He played for Spain and Equatorial Guinea, both as a young player and as an adult.

Iván Bolado's Club Career

Iván Bolado was born in Santander, a city in Spain. He started his professional football journey with his hometown club, Racing de Santander. In the 2007–08 season, he scored three goals in the league. One of these goals came at the very end of the last game, helping his team win 1–0 against CA Osasuna. This win helped Racing de Santander get into the UEFA Cup (now called the Europa League) for the first time ever! Iván played his first game in La Liga on 26 August 2007, in a 0–0 draw against FC Barcelona.

In August 2008, Bolado was borrowed by another team, Elche CF, which played in the second division. He stayed there for a season, but there was an agreement that he could come back to Racing in January if they needed him. He returned to Racing in June 2009. However, he spent most of the 2009–10 season off the field because of a serious knee injury he got before the season started.

When he finally returned to playing, Bolado scored two goals in one of his first games back. One of these goals was a cool bicycle kick! This happened when Racing lost 3–4 to Athletic Bilbao on 29 March 2010. In the 2010–11 season, he didn't play as much because other players like Ariel Nahuelpán and Markus Rosenberg were ahead of him. He played in 19 games and scored one goal, again against Athletic Bilbao.

In February 2012, after playing for FC Cartagena in the second division, Bolado moved to Bulgaria. He signed with PFC CSKA Sofia. But in his very first match, he seriously injured his knee ligaments. This meant he couldn't play for the rest of that season.

By mid-September 2012, Bolado had completely recovered from his injury. In March 2014, he came back to Spain and joined Real Avilés. Later that year, in the summer of 2014, Bolado joined FC Pune City in the new Indian Super League in India.

Iván Bolado's International Career

Iván Bolado's father was from Equatorial Guinea and also had roots in Spain. Because of this, Iván was able to play for both countries. He was chosen to play for the Equatorial Guinea team for the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations tournament. He played his first game for Equatorial Guinea on 6 January 2012, in a friendly match against South Africa.
