Izabella Arazova (born on September 25, 1936) is a talented Armenian composer. A composer is someone who writes music. Her music has been performed in many countries around the world.

Biography

Early Life and Education

Izabella Konstantinovna Arazova was born in Rostov-na-Donu, which was part of the Soviet Union at the time. When she was about six years old, in 1942, she moved to Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia, where she has lived ever since.

She began her musical journey by studying at the Melikyan Music College from 1955 to 1958. Later, she continued her studies at special music schools called conservatories. She learned about composing music from Orest Yevlakhov at the Leningrad Conservatory from 1961 to 1963. After that, she studied with Edvard Mirzoyan at the Yerevan Conservatory from 1964 to 1967.

Musical Career

After finishing her studies, Izabella Arazova became a teacher. She taught music subjects like orchestration (how to write music for different instruments), composition (how to create new music), and harmony (how musical notes fit together) at the Pedagogical Institute in Yerevan. She taught there until 1990.

In 1967, she joined the Armenian Composers' Union. This is a group for musicians and composers in Armenia. Her musical pieces have been played in many places, including her home country of Armenia, Russia, Estonia, Ukraine, the United States, Japan, France, and Switzerland. This shows how widely recognized her music is.
