About Izza Kizza
Early Life and Music Beginnings
Terry Davis was born and grew up in Valdosta, Georgia. When he was just twelve years old, he started performing in a singing group. This group included his older brother and two godbrothers.
Later, Terry was inspired by popular music groups like Kris Kross. He decided to start his own music career as an MC. He chose the stage name Izza Kizza. He quickly became popular in his hometown.
Moving to New Jersey and Big Collaborations
Izza Kizza's local success caught the attention of a music production team called Soul Diggaz. They invited him to move to New Jersey to help his music career grow. He accepted their offer and moved.
In New Jersey, Izza Kizza worked with well-known hip hop artists. He made a song called "Walk The Dawg" with Missy Elliott. This song used a sample from "The Clapping Song" by Shirley Ellis. Eventually, he signed a record deal with Timbaland's label, Mosley Music/Interscope Records.
Izza Kizza later left Timbaland's label. They are still friends, but Timbaland was very busy with his own album, Shock Value II. Izza Kizza did not want to wait for him to finish his other projects.
Music in Games and TV Shows
Izza Kizza released his first mixtape called "Kizzaland" in 2008. Nick Catchdubs mixed the mixtape, and it was available for free online. It included mixes by Timbaland, Soul Diggaz, and Koolade.
One of his songs from "Kizzaland," called "Red Wine," was the first track on a music CD from Paste Magazine in June 2008. His song "Millionaire" was featured in the Madden NFL 09 video game. Another song, "They're Everywhere," was included in the NBA 2K10 video game soundtrack.
"They're Everywhere" also appeared on the TV show So You Think You Can Dance. It was used for a hip hop dance routine in the show's fifth season.
