J₂O is a popular non-fizzy soft drink made with fruit juice. It is made by the company Carlsberg Britvic and is mainly sold in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

The drink was first created in 1998. The goal was to make a special drink for people who wanted something other than alcohol when they went out to pubs or clubs. The name J₂O is a fun play on words. It sounds like H₂O, which is the chemical formula for water. The "J" stands for juice, highlighting what the drink is made of.

When J₂O first came out, there were three flavours: Orange & Passion Fruit, Apple & Mango, and Apple & Melon. Over the years, many more flavours have been added.

History of J₂O

J₂O quickly became a popular drink. In 2001, the bottles got a new design, and a new flavour, Orange & Cranberry, was introduced.

At first, you could only buy J₂O in places like pubs and restaurants. But in 2002, it became so popular that the company started selling it in supermarkets and shops. This meant people could enjoy it at home. It was sold in special four-bottle packs. The bottle design was updated again in 2005, and the Apple & Raspberry flavour was launched.

New Flavours and Ideas

Over the years, J₂O has released many new and exciting flavours.

• 2009: Two new flavours, Grape & Kiwi and Winter Berries, were introduced. They were supposed to be for a limited time, but people liked them so much they became permanent.
• 2010: The packaging was redesigned again. A new "White Blend" range was also launched, with flavours designed to be enjoyed with food, similar to how some adults drink wine with meals.
• 2011-2013: Several limited edition flavours were released, including Glitter Berry, Papaya Punch, Diamond Berry, and Pear Gold.
• 2020: J₂O's quality was recognised when it won a top prize, the Lausanne Index Prize - Supreme Award.
